Ban Books and Spaces and...
Two-thirds (66%) of Britons believe social networks should be banned from the workplace, according to a new survey.
While 42% of 18 to 24-year-olds said they would favour a ban, it reached 79% for those aged 55 and older, found online survey provider Ciao Surveys.
The research found single people are most likely to use sites such as Facebook and MySpace, with 74% being a member of at least one, compared to 67% of those living with a partner and 47% of married people.
For respondents who use social networks, more than half (52%) said they access such sites more often than they did a year ago.
People living in Scotland are more likely to be a member of a social network than any other part of the UK, with 61.5% claiming to be a member of at least one social network.
1,000 people in the UK were surveyed during March 2008.
